How my journey began
I found my love for books later in life than most. I was the reader who would stumble through sentences when reading aloud due to nerves, and that embarrassment caused me to stop reading for fun. After that, I never believed others when they would tell me books were better than movies.
Spoiler: they are so much better!
Since then, I’ve devoured hundreds of books, trying to catch up on lost time. Books and writing became my constant companions during my five years as a flight attendant. They were my solace during long and short layovers, delays, and downtime. During this time, I penned my first book, sitting in the jumpseat of an airplane.
Children’s books are for my kids. My kids LOVE books. I’ve made sure to instill that in them already! They will bring me a book from the shelf, and we’ll read it repeatedly. It’s so sweet to have them ask me to read a favorite of theirs and do fun accents to change it up.
More than that, I want my kids to have fun when they learn and develop virtuous character. So, I’ve put my writing into my kids' futures and write stories that entertain and get them thinking.
My ultimate goal is to inspire others to grow in virtue and faith through my writing. I hope that my stories will entertain and inspire those who read them.
